Pac-12 Championships on the Horizon

TEMPE - The Arizona State cross country team will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah, this Friday to compete in the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships hosted by Utah. The men's 8K race will start at 9 a.m AZ and the women's 6K race will begin at 10 a.m AZ. The race will take place at the Regional Athletic Complex. The races will stream via the Pac-12 network beginning at 8 a.m AZ.

The Sun Devils recorded 11 new personal records at last season's Pac-12 Championships. Vincent Mauri paced the men's team with a 23:35.3 (22nd) finish followed by Joseph Dicke (25:32.5, 58th). Lena Lebrun is the highest finisher to return to the 2021 roster. She crossed the line in 21:26 flat, earning 62nd. 
 
The Sun Devils are coming off the Florida State Invite/NCAA Pre-Nationals race in Tallahassee, Florida, that took place Oct. 15. Mauri ran a personal best 23:19.3 and placed 15th. The women's team celebrated four Sun Devils –Lena Lebrun, Hayden Sparks, Gracie Carr and Claire Le Gallo– placing in the top-100 to help the team finish in 13th. 

 
Following the Pac-12 championships for Arizona State, the team will look forward to NCAA West Regionals on November 12th in Sacramento, Calif.
