KAILUA-KONA, HI. – Senior Katherine Zhu shot a 5-under par 68 to lead the Cal women's golf team to a strong final round at the Pac-12 Preview at Nanea Golf Club on Wednesday.

Zhu carded six birdies to post the second-best round among the 60 golfers at the tournament, which features the 11 Pac-12 institutions that sponsor women's golf along with the University of Hawai'i. Zhu finished the event in a tie for sixth place at 2-under par.

Senior Elena Arias shot 1-under par during the final round and was the Bears' next-best individual finisher at 14-over par for the tournament, which put her in 46th place. Arias drained two early birdies Wednesday before a bogey on her final hole dropped her to 1-under.

The Bears shot 2-over par as a team Wednesday, which also was the second-best on the day. Cal placed 11th in the tournament at 41-over par as a team.

The Pac-12 Preview, which featured six teams ranked in the current GolfStat Top 25, completed the fall season for the Bears.

Cal begins the spring campaign at the Lamkin Invitational on Feb. 14-15 in San Diego.
