ITA National Fall Championships Draws

SEATTLE -- Seven Huskies are California-bound this week, one to San Diego and six to Stockton. Clement Chidekh will represent the Huskies in the second national individual championship of the season, the ITA National Fall Championships, starting Thursday. The Pacific Invitational starts Friday and will feature six more Huskies in action.

The six Huskies headed for Stockton and the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center include Jack Davis, Ewen Lumsden, Jack Pulliam, Nedim Suko, Brandon Wong, and Rikuto Yamaguchi. The tournament runs through Sunday.

Chidekh will be part of the elite 32-player singles field at the Barnes Tennis Center. The event is in its fifth year, having replaced the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships beginning in 2017. It follows the ITA All-American Championships, the first of three majors, with the final one being the NCAA Championships. Chidekh made the semis of the All-American Championships last month to automatically qualify for the National Fall Championships.

The first round of singles play will be on Thursday, then the round of 16 and quarterfinals are both on Friday, with semis on Saturday and finals on Sunday. Chidekh has been awarded the No. 1 overall seed and will play Tad McClean on Thursday at 12 p.m.
