Arizona Cruises Past Arizona Christian in Final Exhibition
TUCSON, Ariz. – In its final exhibition game of the season, Arizona Women's Basketball put on a complete performance against Arizona Christian, dominating the Firestorm 110-39 inside McKale Center on Friday night.
Freshman Madison Conner led the team with a game-high 18 points followed by fellow freshman Gisela Sanchez with 17, as they combined for eight of the team's 15 three-point field goals.
The Wildcats harassed Arizona Christian defensively all night forcing 32 turnovers with 26 steals and four blocks while only allowing a 27.9% field-goal percentage. On those 32 turnovers, the Cats scored an astounding 54 points.
Arizona was also dominant on the glass with a 46-28 rebound differential in the game and the Wildcats' bench outscored ACU's bench 71-16 on the evening.
Cate Reese grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds with seven coming on the offensive end while Lauren Ware grabbed seven boards.
Next up, the Cats will kick off the regular season against Cal State Northridge on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 5 p.m. (MST) inside McKale Center.
