TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona Women's Swimming and Diving team defeated UCLA Saturday afternoon by a score of 138.5-123.5.
Arizona got off to a hot start, winning five events in a row to take an early lead. The Wildcats defeated the Bruins for the first time since the 2017-18 season when they won by a score of 154.5-145.5.
Wildcat women Julia Heimstead and Amalie Mortensen both accumulated two individual event wins on the day. Heimstead won the 100 and 200 fly while Mortensen took home wins in the 200 and 500 free.
The Cats racked up 10 event wins on the afternoon out of the 14 events they competed in.
