LOS ANGELES – Joshua Charlton and Quinn Vandecasteele each played on in singles play today at the Jack Kramer Invitational.
Charlton battled it out with Gianluca Brunkow (UCSB) to earn a three-set victory, 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-4. He followed that up with an afternoon victory over Johannes Seeman (SDSU), 6-4, 6-4.
Vandecasteele outplayed UCLA's Blaine Hovenier with a quick 6-1, 6-1 win. He then went on to defeat Joe Taylor (SDSU), 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in a heated battle. Both will play in singles on Saturday morning, before teaming up in doubles play.
