SPOKANE, Wash. – Oregon dropped its four singles matches on day two of the Gonzaga Invitational Saturday, while the doubles pair of Uxia Martinez Moral and Misaki Kobayashi advanced to the semifinals Sunday but lost there.
How it Happened: Martinez Moral dropped her quarterfinal match in singles play to Sally Pethybridge of Portland, 7-5, 6-4, before Allison Mulville fell in her match 6-2, 6-3 to Washington's Zoey Weil. Oregon's other two players dropped third-set tiebreakers, as Kobayashi lost 6-7(4), 6-4, 1-0(10) and Mia Ljubas dropped her match, 6-4, 6-7(5), 1-0(6).
Martinez Moral and Kobayashi fell in their semifinal doubles match Sunday, 6-0.
