Pregame: 

  • The Colorado Buffaloes (2-6, 1-4 Pac-12) host the Oregon State Beavers (5-3, 3-2 Pac-12) for the first time since 2018. 
  • Colorado is coming off a 52-29 loss to the Oregon Ducks. Oregon State fell to the California Golden Bears 39-25 a week ago. 
  • CU welcome former Buff quarterback Sam Noyer back to Folsom for the first time since transferring to Oregon State. Noyer served as a backup for most of his time at CU and even switched to safety for a season before earning the starting job under center last season. Noyer went 4-2 as a starter in the shortened 2020 season. 
  • This is the 106th homecoming game in school history for the Buffs. It is also Hall of Fame weekend as nine new members were inducted to CU's hall of fame Thursday and will be introduced during the game today. 
  • The Beavers lead the all-time series 6-5 with their last win being a 41-34 victory in 2018 in a game where CU led 31-3 early in the third quarter. 

Weather: Weather in Boulder is currently 72 degrees with temperatures dropping into the lower 60s and upper 50s later in the game
Captains: CU captains for this game are junior CB Mekhi Blackmon, senior LB Nate Landman, freshman QB Brendon Lewis, and junior TE Brady Russell. 
Uniforms: Colorado will be wearing black jerseys with gold helmets and pants. The Beavers are sporting white jerseys and pants with black helmets. 
Coin Toss: Oregon State wins the toss and deferred to the second half. Colorado will receive the opening kickoff and defend the south end zone. 

1Q: START OF GAME - CU will begin their drive at their own 25 yard line. Lewis is in at quarterback. 
1Q: COLORADO FIELD GOAL: Lewis connected with Russell on the first play of the game for a 20 yard gain. The Buffs moved the ball into OSU territory before Chase Penry reeled in a 21 yard catch to advance CU to the OSU 5 yard line. The Beaver defense stifled the Colorado offense from there and Cole Becker came on to attempt a 28 yard field goal that was good. Colorado leads 3-0 with 10:18 left in the first. 
1Q: OREGON STATE PUNT:
An illegal substitution penalty on the Beavers moved them back five yards and on 3rd and 15, the Beavers could not reach the line to gain and were forced to punt on 4th and 8. Colorado begin their drive at their own 21 yard line after the punt with 9:20 left in the first quarter. 
1Q: COLORADO TOUCHDOWN:
 Lewis found La'Vontae Shenault on an early 3rd and 9 play to bring the Buffs to midfield. Three plays later, Lewis connected with a wide open Daniel Arias down the left sideline for a 43 yard touchdown completion. Becker's PAT was good. Colorado leads 10-0 with 6:47 remaining in the first. 
1Q: END OF FIRST QUARTER:
Beaver QB Chance Nolan scrambled and found his receiver Trevon Bradford for a 19 yard gain on a 3rd and 16 play. The Beavers steadily moved the ball the ball deep into Colorado territory and after failing to convert on third down, OSU now face 4th and 1 at the CU 14 yard line. End of first quarter, Colorado leads 10-0.

2Q: OREGON STATE TOUCHDOWN: On the first play of the second quarter, the Beavers brought in linebacker, Jack Colletto who directly received the snap and broke away from some Colorado tacklers before bouncing into the end zone for a 14 yard touchdown rush. PAT was good. Colorado leads 10-7 with 14:53 left in the second. 
2Q: COLORADO MISSED FG: Penry hauled in a 16 yard pass from Lewis for a 16 yard gain to the 50 yard line on the first play of the drive. A few plays later, after a double reverse pitch handoff, Lewis looked ro Russell down field at the OSU 10 yard line where the Beavers were called for pass interference. The 15 yard penalty helped the Buffs move into field goal range but Becker could not convert on a 35 yard attempt and the score remains Colorado 10 Oregon State 7 with 11:44 left in the second. 
2Q: COLORADO INTERCEPTION: A 31 yard completion to Luke Musgrave advanced the Beavers into Colorado territory. Two plays later, Nolan under threw a pass down the left sideline that was intercepted by Isaiah Lewis who returned it 38 yards to the CU 45 yard line. 1st and 10 Colorado. 
2Q: COLORADO PUNT: The Buffs could not recover from an early holding call and were forced to punt. OSU will begin their drive at their own 16 yard line with 6:17 remaining in the first half. 
2Q: OREGON STATE PUNT:
Backed up to their own eight yard line, OSU tailback Trey Lowe found some space down the left sideline and ran 19 yards to convert on 3rd and 18. The Beavers would go no further though, and on 3rd down Carson Wells chased down a scrambling Nolan for a six yard sack and forced a punt. After the punt, the Buffs begin their drive from the OSU 45 yard line. 3:20 left in the second quarter. 
2Q: COLORADO FIELD GOAL:
 A pass interference penalty on OSU's Rejzhon Wright brought the Buffs down to the Beavers' 18 yard line. However, a trio of penalties backed the Buffs up to the OSU 34 yard line, setting up a long field goal try for Becker. But following his previous missed attempt, Becker nailed this one from 52 yards out and extended the Colorado lead to 13-7 with 0:39 left in the second. 
2Q: OREGON STATE FIELD GOAL:
 Lowe exploded across midfield on a 26 yard reception on the first play of the drive. Three plays later Champ Flemings reeled in a 19 yard pass from Nolan to set up a last second field goal attempt from Everett Hayes which he hit through the uprights as time expired. Colorado leads 13-10 at the end of the first half.

3Q: START OF SECOND HALF: OSU begin their drive from their own 25. 
3Q: OSU PUNT: On third down Nolan looked for Bradford, who could not catch the ball inbounds due to CU's Christian Gonzalez disrupting the catch. Following an OSU punt, CU begin their drive from their own 34 yard line with 13:31 left in the third. 
3Q: COLORADO PUNT: The Buffs couldn't do much on this drive and went three and out. Josh Watts' punt 59 yards and threw the end zone for a touchback. OSU start their drive from their own 25 with 11:39 left in the quarter. 
3Q: OSU TURNOVER ON DOWNS:
The Beavers made a gutsy call and went for it on 4th and three on their own end of the field. However, they were not rewarded for their risk, as Wells put pressure on OSU's Nolan on fourth down who could not connect with his tight end for the conversion. Colorado take over on downs at the OSU 39 yard line with 8:35 left in the third. 
3Q: COLORADO TOUCHDOWN:
 Jarek Broussard had two rushes of 14 and 16 yards to put the Buffs in good position to score. On third and goal, the Brendon to Brenden duo connected again as Lewis found Brenden Rice for a five yard touchdown. PAT from Becker was good and Colorado leads 20-10 with 5:54 left in the third.
3Q: OSU TOUCHDOWN:
A 22 yard rush by B.J. Baylor advanced the Beavers into Colorado territory. Three plays later, Lowe found a hole on the left side of the field and broke a few tackles before bursting into the end zone for a 31 yard rushing score. PAT was good. Colorado leads 20-17 with 3:19 until the fourth quarter. 
3Q: END OF THIRD QUARTER: Alex Fontenot rushed four times for 21 yards on the drive as the Buffs are at their own 49 yard line and 1st and 10 to start the fourth quarter. END OF THIRD.

4Q: COLORADO PUNT: Lewis' pass fell incomplete on third down and the Buffs were forced to punt. OSU will begin their drive from their own 20 after the touchback with 14:41 left in the game. 
4Q: OSU TOUCHDOWN: The Beavers brought Colletto in once again in a fourth down situation and he converted once again on a keeper. Trevor Woods for the Buffs nearly came up with a miraculous one-handed grab for an interception, but the ball fell loose as he was falling to the turf. The Beavers continued to move the ball well after that, and Nolan found Tre'Shaun Harrison who burst down the field for a 27 yard touchdown. PAT was good. Oregon State leads 24-20 with 8:23 left in the fourth quarter. 
4Q: COLORADO PUNT: Colorado didn't get anything going on this drive and only gained two total yards. Following Watts punt, the Beavers will begin this drive from their own 41 yard line with 7:17 left in the fourth. 
4Q: OSU PUNT:
The Buffaloes came up with their biggest stop of the game when a third down pass was broken up Gonzalez and fell incomplete on third down. After the punt, the Buffs will start this drive from their own 28 yard line with 5:37 left in the game. 
4Q: COLORADO TOUCHDOWN:
 Broussard wasted no time on this drive and on the first play, exploded up the middle and bounced off a Beaver tackler for a 49 yard gain - longest rush of the season for Colorado. The Buffs kept the ball on the ground from there and found the end zone on a reverse to Rice, but the score was called back due to a holding penalty. But two plays after the penalty, Lewis stepped forward and delivered a dart to the hands of Montana Lemonious-Craig who reeled in the pass for a 16 yard touchdown. PAT from Becker was good and Colorado leads 27-24 with 2:24 left in the game. 
4Q: OSU MISSED FIELD GOAL: A 26 yard completion to Flemings helped the Beavers move into field goal range. After a Robert Barnes tackle stopped OSU from advancing any further, the Beavers were set up for a 51 yard game-tying field goal attempt. The kick from Hayes went wide left and the Buffs took over at their own 41 yard line with 0:32 left in the game. OSU has all three timeouts. 
4Q: COLORADO PUNT: 
Colorado ran three running plays and the Beavers used all three of their remaining timeouts to force a fourth down with 18 seconds left. After a punt from Watts and a 26 yard return by Anthony Gould, the Beavers have the ball 1st and 10 from their own 49 yard line with 0:05 left in the game. 
4Q: OSU FIELD GOAL:
 The Beavers ran one play, a nine yard pass to Gould who stepped out with 1 second left on the clock. OSU then brought out their place kicker, Hayes, for a 60 yard field goal attempt, and the sophomore nailed it through the uprights as time expired to send the game to overtime.

OVERTIME: 

Coin Toss: Oregon State won the toss and will defend first.

OT1: CU begins their drive from the OSU 25 yard line. 
OT1: COLORADO TOUCHDOWN: After gaining 16 yards on the first two plays of the drive, Lewis faked a handoff and burst to the left side of the field and dove for the pylon on a 9 yard rushing score. PAT from Becker was good and Colorado holds a 34-27 lead as OSU starts with the ball at the CU 25 yard line. 
OT1: OREGON STATE TOUCHDOWN: The Beavers went for it all on the first play of this drive, but Gonzalez was there in the end zone to break up the touchdown. OSU got in a rhythm after that and after a 2 yard run by B.J. Baylor, it was 1st and goal. Baylor took a direct snap and tripped up the CU defense as he waltzed into the end zone for a 1 yard score. PAT was good and the score is 34-34 as we head into the second overtime. Oregon State will start with the ball at the CU 25 yard line. 

OT2: OSU MISSED FG: A holding penalty backed up the Beavers to the CU 30. On 3rd and 14, QB Nolan ducked up the middle for a nine yard gain that was short of the line to gain. Hayes came on to attempt a 38 yard field goal, which he missed wide left. Colorado will start their drive from the OSU 25. 
OT2:
 COLORADO TOUCHDOWN - COLORADO WINS: Colorado ran the ball three times and set up Becker for a 43 yard field goal attempt. After a timeout from OSU, Becker's field goal attempt was good and the Buffs win 37-34.
