Huskies Conclude Play At Pacific

SEATTLE – The Huskies wrapped up their stay in Stockton, Calif. and the Pacific Invitational today with doubles matches against Saint Mary's and singles play against Santa Clara. Ewen Lumsden won his match in the top singles flight today and Jack Pulliam and Rikuto Yamaguchi finished a 4-0 week in doubles together.
 
Lumsden finished up a 3-1 week in singles play with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Santa Clara's Mann Shah. However the rest of singles play went to the Broncos in close matches. Jack Davis had a 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-7 (7) loss to Guillaume Dalmasso, and Yamaguchi lost two tiebreak sets in his match, the second one going to 13-11. Nedim Suko and Jack Pulliam both had 7-5 first set losses in their matches.
 
Pulliam and Yamaguchi did win a tiebreak in doubles, however, defeating Saint Mary's Reckow/Rincon, 7-6 (7) to finish a perfect weekend.

Based on the pool play results, the Huskies had several runner-up finishes in their respective flights. Ewen Lumsden took second in the top flight, and Jack Davis was runner-up in flight two. Nedim Suko was also second-place in the third flight, and Rikuto Yamaguchi tied for second in flight four. Jack Pulliam again was second in flight No. 5.

Pulliam and Yamaguchi won their No. 3 doubles flight, while Davis and Brandon Wong tied for first in flight one but lost the tiebreaker. Suko and Lumsden tied for second in flight two.
