TUNING UP
Oregon dominated in its two exhibition tune-ups ahead of Tuesday's regular-season opener against Idaho State. The Ducks beat Saint Martin's, 93-26, on Oct. 28 in the first women's basketball game of any kind in front of fans at Matthew Knight Arena since March 1, 2020. Oregon held the Saints scoreless until the 5:20 mark of the second quarter while Te-Hina Paopao and Endyia Rogers led the way offensively with 22 points and 17 points, respectively. In the second exhibition game, the Ducks used a balanced offensive attack to top defending NAIA national champion Westmont, 95-65, on Nov. 6. Nyara Sabally and Sedona Prince each posted double-doubles, with Sabally scoring 14 points while grabbing 11 rebounds in just 15 minutes and Prince adding 10 points and 11 boards. Phillipina Kyei led all scorers with 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting while Sydney Parrish went 4-for-7 from outside and finished with 16 points.
