Ducks Open Regular Season Tuesday at MKA
EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon will open the 2021-22 season when it hosts Idaho State at Matthew Knight Arena Tuesday. The No. 10 Ducks will play their first regular season game in front of fans at MKA in 19 months due to the pandemic. Oregon will look to extend its home nonconference winning streak to 42 games against the defending Big Sky Conference champion Bengals. Tuesday's game can be viewed live on the Oregon Live Stream.

NEW-LOOK DUCKS
The 2021-22 Ducks will feature a mixture of returnees and experienced newcomers in addition to two true freshmen. All six of Oregon's players who return from last season will be playing their second collegiate seasons, while the four transfers from Division I schools have a combined 331 career games played (273 starts) under their belts. Additionally, the Ducks will welcome in a two-time NJCAA All-American (Chanaya Pinto) and a pair of highly-touted freshmen in Taylor Bigby and Phillipina Kyei. All six of Oregon's returnees have never played a regular season game in front of fans at Matthew Knight Arena.
PRESEASON HONORS
A number of Oregon players have earned preseason recognition, both nationally and from the Pac-12 Conference. The Ducks lead the league with four players on the preseason all-conference team as Te-Hina Paopao, Endyia Rogers, Sedona Prince and Nyara Sabally were each tabbed all league ahead of the season by the media. Paopao also earned a spot on the preseason watch list for the Nancy Lieberman Award, honoring the nation's top point guard. Sydney Parrish was named to the watch list for the national shooting guard of the year award, the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, while Sabally was one of 20 selected to the Katrina McClain Award watch list, recognizing the best power forward in the country.
TUNING UP
Oregon dominated in its two exhibition tune-ups ahead of Tuesday's regular-season opener against Idaho State. The Ducks beat Saint Martin's, 93-26, on Oct. 28 in the first women's basketball game of any kind in front of fans at Matthew Knight Arena since March 1, 2020. Oregon held the Saints scoreless until the 5:20 mark of the second quarter while Te-Hina Paopao and Endyia Rogers led the way offensively with 22 points and 17 points, respectively. In the second exhibition game, the Ducks used a balanced offensive attack to top defending NAIA national champion Westmont, 95-65, on Nov. 6. Nyara Sabally and Sedona Prince each posted double-doubles, with Sabally scoring 14 points while grabbing 11 rebounds in just 15 minutes and Prince adding 10 points and 11 boards. Phillipina Kyei led all scorers with 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting while Sydney Parrish went 4-for-7 from outside and finished with 16 points. Maddie Scherr led the team with eight assists and did not commit a turnover.
