Osborne Earns Recognition on National Watch Lists
LOS ANGELES – Charisma Osborne was tabbed to a trio of preseason watch lists for national awards Tuesday, as the junior earned a spot on the Wade Trophy, Naismith Trophy, and Wooden Award watch lists.
All three awards are presented to national player of the year candidates. Osborne was a midseason candidate for the Naismith Trophy last season.
Monday's accolades were just the latest in Osborne's preseason collection, as the Moreno Valley, Calif., native already earned a spot on the preseason All-Pac-12 team and was selected to the top-20 watch list for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Shooting Guard of the Year Award.
Osborne was an All-Pac-12 honoree in 2020-21 after putting up a career-high 17.0 points per game. She scored at least 20 points in eight games last season, including a stretch of seven-straight 20+ point outings.
Osborne and the Bruins open the 2021-22 season with a matchup against Pepperdine on Wednesday, Nov. 10. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00pm PT on Pac-12 Networks.
