CORVALLIS, Ore. – Four outstanding student-athletes have officially made their commitments to the Oregon State Gymnastics program for the 2022-23 season, head coach Tanya Chaplin announced on Wednesday.
The recruiting class consists of Francesca Caso (Santa Monica, Calif./All Olympia Gymnastics Center), Jennifer McMillan (Charlotte, N.C./Southeastern Gymnastics), Savannah Miller (Waterford, Mich./Oakland Gymnastics) and Ellison Weaver (Vancouver, Wash./Naydenov Gymnastics).
"We are extremely excited to have four outstanding athletes join the Oregon State Gymnastics program," commented Chaplin. "This is a well-rounded group of talented gymnasts, excellent students and wonderful people. All are hardworking, enthusiastic and highly successful student-athletes that will continue to build on the Oregon State University's legacy of excellence."
Francesca Caso, the daughter of US National Gymnastics Team member Mark and Beate Caso, is a 2021 USAG Level 10 National qualifier. The Santa Monica, Calif. native finished fifth in the all-around at the Deutsch Pokal Championships – Jr. division in Grunstadt, Germany in 2017. This year, Caso earned top-five finishes in the all-around at the USAG Region 1 Championships (3rd overall) and at the Parkettes National Elite qualifier (5th overall).
Jennifer McMillan, the daughter of Carol McMillan, is a three-time USAG Level 10 National qualifier and the 2021 USAG Level 10 National Uneven Bars Champion. The Charlotte, N.C. native also won the all-around and the bars at the Level 10 Region 8 Championships in 2021. In 2018, McMillan finished 10th in the all-around at the Level 10 National Championships.
Savannah Miller, the daughter of Ruth Miller and her late father Christopher Miller, is a four-time USAG Level 10 National qualifier. Miller swept the 2021 Region 5 Championship titles in vault, bars, beam, floor and all-around all while claiming the 2021 State Meet Bars Champion title. At this year's USAG Level 10 Nationals, Miller finished ninth all-around, ninth on bars, and seventh on floor.
Ellison Weaver, the daughter of Chad and Renee Weaver, a two-time USAG Level 10 National qualifier is the 2019 Level 10 National Champion on the beam while also taking 21st in the all-around. The Vancouver, Wash. native swept the Region 2 Championships in 2018 and claimed the USAG Washington State title on bars in 2019.

The Beavers' season begins next Friday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. with the annual Orange & Black Exhibition at Gill Coliseum. Admission is free.
