Women's Golf Signs Duo as Part of 2022 Recruiting Class

Nov 10, 2021

TUCSON, Ariz. – Perennial powerhouse, Arizona Women's Golf, continued its elite recruiting with the addition of two signees for the class of 2022 with Julia Misemer and Pimmada Wongthanavimok. The tandem of prep standouts will bolster the Wildcat roster that has made Arizona the only women's golf program in the nation to reach the semifinals of the NCAA Championships in each of last three postseasons.

"We are excited to welcome Julia and Nena to our program as part of our 2022 recruiting class," said head coach Laura Ianello. "They are both tremendous young women with high-level playing experience. Their championship success in their young careers speaks to the developed games and talent level they both will bring to our program. I can't wait to have them on campus starting next year as members of Arizona Women's Golf."

Misemer is a four-time 6A individual state champion in Kansas at Blue Valley West High School in Overland Park. She was the 2021 runner up at the Girls Junior PGA Championship and played as a member of the 2021 USA Junior Ryder Cup Team. Misemer ranked seventh in her class in the Rolex AJGA national Rankings.

Wongthanavimok will join the Wildcats after representing her nation as a member of the Thailand National Team. She has posted a trio of amateur and junior wins in her young career that include the ATI Ciputra Junior World Championships in Indonesia, IJGA World Stars of Junior Golf in Las Vegas and the Albatross Junior International Championship in India.
