UO Hosts Duck Invite This Weekend

EUGENE, Ore. – The men's tennis team will close out the fall season this weekend as hosts of the Duck Invite at the Student Tennis Center.
 
Six Ducks are set for singles play - Joshua Charlton, Luke Vandecasteele, Nima Movassaghi, Ryoma Matsushita, Avi Shugar and Jesper Klöv-Nilsson - while Klöv-Nilsson and Charlton, and Shugar and Matsushita will team up in doubles.
 
Charlton is fresh off a doubles tournament win with teammate Quinn Vandecasteele, and looks to continue his streak this weekend with Klöv-Nilsson. Earlier in the fall season, Klöv-Nilsson and teammate Ivailo Keremedchiev advanced to the finals of the consolation bracket at the ITA All-American.
 
Matches will take place Friday through Sunday, with doubles to start the day and singles to follow. Play gets underway tomorrow at 9 a.m. at the Student Tennis Center.

The Draws are broken up into two brackets, the green and yellow bracket. Charlton, Klöv-Nilsson and Vandecasteele are are in the green, while Matsushita, Movassaghi and Shugar are in the yellow. The second round matches for the green bracket will take place at 3:30 p.m. with yellow at 5:30 p.m.
