Lena Lebrun Sets PR at NCAA West Regionals

SACRAMENTO, Calif.-- On Friday, 10 Sun Devils raced in the NCAA West Regional which was highlighted by Lena Lebrun's PR, and five finishers placing in their respective top 100. 

Lena Lebrun was the first Sun Devil to pass the 1.5 mile mark in the women's 6k, and closed out the race with a time of 21:15.1, her new PR, after previously finishing with 21:52.1 at the Arturo Barrios Invite in October 2019.

Lebrun shaved more than a minute off of her time from the Pac-12 Championships where she finished with 22:16.3. 
 

Hayden Sparks was the second Sun Devil to cross the finish line with a 21:45.7, 23 seconds shy of her PR, to place in the top 100. Gracie Carr followed Sparks, and ended with a time of 22:04.2 and placed 109.

Stanford, Washington, and Oregon were the top placing schools, respectively, in the women's 6k.

In the men's 10k, three Sun Devils finished in the top 100, with Vincent Mauri placing the highest after recording a final time of 30:36.2, and a final placing of 39th. 

Luke Mason finished with a time of 31:55.9 to cross the finish line second among the maroon and gold, and placed 93. 

The final top 100 finisher for ASU in the men's 10k was Joseph Dicke, who secured 99th with his time of 32:01.8

Stanford, Washington, and Portland were the top three overall finishers in the men's 10k

The Sun Devils placed 21st in the women's 6k, and 17th in the men's 10k to close out the season.
