Rossi Set to Join Utes Men’s Tennis Program

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah's men's tennis head coach Roeland Brateanu has announced the commitment of Geremia Rossi. Rossi will join the Utes this January and will be immediately eligible as a freshman.
 
"We can't wait to have Geremia join our team in January," stated head coach Roeland Brateanu. "He has been a force in Switzerland throughout his junior career and will be a great fit for our program." 
 
Throughout juniors, Rossi was consistently ranked in the top five in Switzerland and reached the quarterfinals at the Junior Swiss Championships in singles and the finals in doubles. He was ranked as high as 83rd in the Swiss Open rankings and 1455 in the ITF junior world rankings.
 
"I'm excited to join the University of Utah and also to represent Utah," remarked Geremia Rossi. "The chance of joining a PAC-12 tennis team was exciting, and I couldn't let it slip away. The high academic formation had a big impact on my choice as well. I can't wait to start and fight for these colors. Let's go, Utes!"
