Pregame: 

  • The Colorado Buffaloes (3-6, 2-4 Pac-12) travel to Rose Bowl stadium to take on the UCLA Bruins (5-4, 3-3 Pac-12).
  • Colorado looks to build upon their 2OT 37-34 home win over Oregon State last week while UCLA lost to Utah 44-24 two weeks ago in Salt Lake City.
  • UCLA welcomes back former Bruin and now-Buffalo TE Matt Lynch. The former Bruin quarterback played that position for the Bruins from 2016-18 before making the switch to tight end in 2019 before transferring to CU for the 2020 season.
  • UCLA leads the all-time series 11-5, with a 7-1 mark against the Buffs in California. However, the Buffaloes have won three of the past five meetings with the Bruins, including a 48-42 decision to open up the shortened 2020 season on November 7, 2020 at Folsom Field. The Buffalo offense had 525 total yards of offense in that game.
  • Colorado head coach Karl Dorrell is returning to the Rose Bowl as a head coach for the first time since he was the Bruins' head coach from 2003-2007.

Weather: Weather in Pasadena is 73 degrees with temperatures dropping into the high-to-mid 60s later in the game.
