Men's Tennis Wraps Up Day Two of the LMU Invite

LOS ANGELES – The University of Utah's men's tennis team picked up six more victories on the second day of the LMU Invitational.
 
Starting with doubles, Utah added two victories to the weekend total. Playing Utah State, Francisco Bastias and Bruno Caula defeated David Cierny and Bodin Zarkovic, 6-1. The second doubles win came when Geronimo Busleiman Jayson Blando had a 6-2 victory over Roko Savin and Sergi Mico Fenollar.
 
The wins continued in singles play as the Utes picked up four more victories. Bastias defeated Emmanuel Coste, 6-1, 6-1 for a Ute win. Caula followed with his own 6-1, 6-1 victory over Mike Mkrtchian of UC Irvine.
 
The last two victories for Utah on the day came from Busleiman and J. Blando. Busleiman came away with a 6-3, 6-4, over Ali Amiri. Blando had a 6-4, 6-4 win over Rithvik Krishna.  
 
In the final two matches for Utah, Rian Ta and Charlie Spina battled, but both were defeated in three sets.
 
Utah will return to the courts on Sunday for the final day of the LMU Invitational, which is being played at the LMU Tennis Center.
