Petchey Wins Singles Draw at SDSU Classic

SAN DIEGO – Myah Petchey swept her way to a victory in the title match of her singles draw Sunday to close out play at the San Diego State Fall Classic.    
 
How it Happened: Petchey rolled to a win over San Diego State's Regina Pitts, 6-1, 6-3 to finish the weekend 3-0 and take the crown in the Black Draw of the singles play. Sophie Luescher also earned a win in singles play, going to a third-set tiebreaker in the Gold Draw to win 6-3, 4-6, 1-0(9) to finish the weekend 2-1.
 
Petchey and Luescher played a consolation doubles match but fell, 6-4 to close out play for the weekend.
