Beavers Fall To Golden Hurricane
TULSA, Okla. – Maurice Calloo scored a career-high 20 points but it wasn't enough as Oregon State fell to Tulsa, 64-58, on Monday night at the Reynolds Center.
The Beavers (1-2) trailed 60-51 with 4:20 remaining before reeling off seven straight points to cut it to 60-58 with 47.2 seconds left.
Rey Idowu made two free throws to end the run and Darien Jackson added a pair to clinch the win for the Golden Hurricane.
The game had 20 lead changes.
Rodrigue Andela had his best game of the season with 10 points and eight rebounds. Gianni Hunt finished with five points, six rebounds and a career-high tying six assists. Jarod Lucas made three 3-pointers for his nine points, and Warith Alatishe had seven points, five rebounds and three assists.
Jeriah Horne led Tulsa (2-1) with 17 points and Sam Griffin added 13.
Oregon State next returns to Gill Coliseum to play the Samford Bulldogs at 6 p.m. on Thursday. The Beavers will then host Princeton at noon on Sunday.
