Beavers Set to Wrap Up Three-Game Homestand Saturday

FANS NOTE: Due to Saturday night's football game against Arizona State, football parking rules will be in effect. This will alter our normal women's basketball parking operations. Please see the parking solutions below for options:

  • Our football game day parking map is located here. You can park in any red, brown or yellow lot for no charge.
  • If you have football parking, please use your parking pass to enter the lot.
  • Closest available pay lots are located at the Kerr administration Building, or on 15th and 30th North of Jefferson Way.
  • ADA parking goes on sale at 7am on football gamedays, with passes sold in the Reser lot ($30) and Parking Structure ($15). Re-entry into these lots is not allowed.
  • Drop-offs for ADA and easy access patrons is available at 26th street North of Washington Way. Please use 15th Street or 30th Street to Washington Way, due to road closure on 26th from Western Blvd to Washington Way.

THE GAME: The No. 15 Oregon State women's basketball team will wrap up its three-game homestand on Saturday, when CSU Bakersfield visits Gill Coliseum.

WHAT'S UP NEXT: Oregon State will hit the road next week for a pair of Power-5 matchups in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Beavers will take on Michigan on Friday and Notre Dame on Saturday.

THE OPPONENT: Oregon State is 8-1 all-time against CSU Bakersfield and has won the last seven meetings. The two sides last met in 2019, with the Beavers earning a 69-50 victory. Taylor Jones finished that game with 16 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks.

QUICK HITTERS: 
- The Beavers head into Saturday's game ranked No. 15 in the AP Poll and No. 18 in the WBCA Coaches Poll.
- OSU was selected fourth in the Pac-12 Preseason Coaches Poll
- Oregon State won nine of its final 12 games during the 2020-21 season, with three of those victories coming over ranked opponents. All three of the Beavers' losses during that stretch game to teams that went on to play in the Final Four (Stanford twice, South Carolina).
- Oregon State is 179-47 since the start of the 2014-15 season, the ninth highest win total in the nation over that span, trailing only UConn, Notre Dame, Baylor, Maryland, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Stanford and Louisville.
- The Beavers have had four players in double-figures in both of their games this season.
- Oregon State out-scored CBU 28-6 in the third quarter of Wednesday's game.
- The Beavers have made seven-straight NCAA Tournaments. Oregon State would have made the NCAA Tournament in eight consecutive years had the 2020 tournament not been cancelled. OSU was slated as a likely top-four seed for the 2020 Tourney.

- The Beavers' returning players shot 46.8 percent from the floor during the 2020-21 season.

GREAT SCOTT: Scott Rueck Quick Hitters 
- 2017 John R. Wooden Pac-12 Coach of the Year, becoming one of five coaches in conference history to win the honor multiple times.
- Record at Oregon State is 242-114 making him the second-winningest coach in Oregon State history. Aki Hill holds the Oregon State wins record with 274.
- Rueck engineered an accelerated turnaround at Oregon State, bringing the program into national prominence during tenure as head coach.
- Prior to joining Oregon State, Rueck served as head coach at George Fox in Newberg, Ore., where he built the program into a Division III national power, winning an NCAA title in 2009.
- Rueck's teams have consistently been known for outstanding defense. The Beavers have allowed 58.2 points per game over the course of his tenure. George Fox allowed just 48.3 points per contest in 2009-10, Rueck's final year there, and set a school record with 45.4 points allowed under Rueck in 2007-08.
- Has led teams to 16 postseason appearances, including seven NCAA Division I Tournaments with the Beavers.
- Graduated from Oregon State in 1991.

TAYLOR MADE: Taylor Jones Quick Hitters

- Preseason All-Pac-12 honoree
- All-Pac-12 honoree and Pac-12 Defensive Honorable Mention last season
- Led the Pac-12 in rebounds per game last season and was second in the conference in field goal percentage
- Is 14th nationally among active players in field goal percentage.
- Is two blocks short of reaching 100 in her career.
- Has 109 rebounds over the Beavers' last 11 games
- Has 16 career double-doubles.
- Was third in the Pac-12 in blocks per game with 1.8 last season.
- Wingspan is 6-foot-10
- Named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team, and was Honorable Mention All-Pac-12 and All-Pac-12 Defensive in 2019-20
- Earned three Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors during her debut campaign, making her the only player in OSU history to take the honor three times. Jamie Weisner, Sydney Wiese, Mikayla Pivec and Sasha Goforth are the only other Oregon State players to take the honor twice.
- Also named U.S. Basketball Writers Association National Freshman of the Week on Jan. 7.
- Led the Pac-12 in blocks with 60 in 2019-20
- Holds the OSU freshman record for blocks and is second on the Beavers' freshman rebounds list.

I TALIA YOU WHAT: Talia von Oelhoffen Quick Hitters
- Preseason All-Pac-12 honoree
- Joined the Beavers in January of last season, competing in the final 13 games of the campaign
- Has scored at least 18 points in five of her last 10 games.
- Leads the Pac-12 in steals per game.
- Pac-12 All-Freshman Honorable Mention last season
- Pac-12 Freshman of the Week on Feb. 22.
- Has scored at least six points in 14 of her 15 games with the Beavers, including 10  double-figure scoring games.
- Set the Pac-12 Tournament record for points off the bench with 44
- Shot 44.3 percent on the season in 2020-21
- Oregon State went 9-4 during von Oelhoffen's time with the squad last season.
- Naismith High School Player of the Year Midseason Top-25
- Three-time Adidas All-American
- Scored 2,392 points in three season of high school basketball, placing her on pace to become the leading scorer in Washington history had she been able to play a senior season. 

CODDING RED: Emily Codding Quick Hitters
- Joins the Beavers this season as a graduate transfer from Saint Mary's
- Earned starts in her first two games with the Beavers
- Missed the second half of the 2019-20 campaign due to injury and saw action in just five games during 2020-21 as she recovered
- Was likely on her way to All-WCC honors during her junior year before her season was ended by injury. At the time Codding was averaging 14.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game
- Earned WCC Player of the Week honors on Dec. 15, 2020 after scoring 27 points against Kansas.

SAY TAY KID: Taya Corosdale Quick Hitters
- Matched a career-high with four blocks on Friday.
- Leads the Pac-12 in offensive rebounding
- Returned to the starting lineup last year, after missing almost all of the 2019-20 campaign due to injury.
- Finished last season seventh in the Pac-12 in 3-point percentage.
- Knocked down a triple on Wednesday to reach 100 career 3-pointers
- Was one of six Pac-12 players to finish in the top-30 in the conference last season in both assists and rebounds.
- 63 of her 89 shots last season came from beyond the arc.
- Averaged 7.8 rebounds per game during Pac-12 play as sophomore
- Played all 125 minutes in the Beavers' 2019 NCAA Tournament run.
- Jordan Brand Classic All-American in high school.
- Two-time King County League MVP
- Earned a five-star rating from ESPN, and was ranked the No. 6 forward in her signing class.
- Two-time All-State selection in Washington.

UPSIDE BROWN: Kennedy Brown Quick Hitters
- Pac-12 Preseason Honorable Mention
- Returned to the court on Friday after missing the second half of 2019-20 and all of 2020-21 due to injury.
- Brown put exactly 10 points and five rebounds in both of Oregon State's games so far this season
- Oregon State's season opener marked Brown's first competitive game in 644 days.
- At the time of her injury, she was second in the Pac-12 in blocks.
- Is tied for fifth on Oregon State's freshman blocks list.
- 2019 McDonalds All-American

RETURN OF THE MACK: Ellie Mack Quick Hitters
- Came to the Beavers as a graduate transfer from Bucknell last season, and was granted an extra year of eligible to return this season due to the NCAA's COVID-19 policies.
- Leads all Oregon State players with 1,206 career points.
- Has started 84-straight games dating back to her sophomore campaign at Bucknell
- Finished last season in the top-15 in the Pac-12 for 3-point percentage at 36.7 percent.
- Was the Patriot League Player of the Year in 2019-20
- Two-time All-Patriot League selection
- Averaged 15.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game last season at Bucknell
- Shot 43.2 percent from 3-point range last season, good for second in the Patriot League

SERBIAN SURGE: Jelena Mitrovic Quick Hitters
- Appeared in all 20 games last season after missing all of 2019-20 due to injury.
- Had arguably her best game as a Beaver vs. Oregon at the Pac-12 Tournament, finishing with eight points on 4-for-5 shooting to go with six rebounds.
- Shot 52.9 percent from 2-point range last season
- No. 3 rated European prospect in her age group
- Top Scorer and Team MVP of the U18 national champions in Serbia
- Averaged 11.7 points and 11.3 rebounds per game at the 2018 European Championships
- Brother Luka is a professional basketball player. 

YO JO: Jovana Subasic Quick Hitters
- Joined the Beavers as a graduate transfer from Washington State last season, and was granted an extra year of eligible to return this season due to the NCAA's COVID-19 policies.
- Saw action in 10 games last season
- Is a career 40.2 percent 3-point shooter.
- Played in 31 games for the Cougars in 2019-20, making eight starts over the final 10 games of the season.
- Led WSU in blocks (30) and 3-point field goal percentage (40.0%)
- Competed for Serbia in the European Championships at the U-20, U-18 and U-16 levels, as well as the U-19 World Championships.

GILL COLISEUM:
- Oregon State has a home record of 96-15 since the start of the 2014-15 season
- The Beavers are 41-10 in their last 51 Pac-12 home games, and 57-11 in their last 68. 
- Opponents are shooting 33.8 percent at Gill Coliseum since the start of the 2013-14 season. 
- Seven of the top-10 crowds in Oregon State history have come over the last five seasons, including a record-setting attendance of 9,604 vs. Stanford, two sell outcrowds of 9,301 vs. Oregon and a capacity Beavers Beyond the Classroom in 2019-20.

SHE'S THE MANNEN: Noelle Mannen Quick Hitters
- Was awarded a scholarship by the program this fall after spending her first two seasons as a walk on.
- Walked on at Oregon State last summer, after attending the University of San Francisco in 2018-19 (did not play basketball)
- Has appeared eight games last season.
- Scored 10 points on 3-for-4 shooting vs. Southern Utah in 2019-20.
- First Team All-Oregon her senior season at Valley Catholic High School
- Hold's Valley Catholic's career records for points, rebounds, assists and steals.
- Also earned All-League honors in soccer and softball, and finished as high as fifth in the state in javelin.

SPILL THE TE'A: Te'a Adams Quick Hitters
- Joins the Beavers this season as a graduate transfer from San Diego State.
- Made 81 starts for the Aztecs, starting every game but one over the last three seasons.
- Shot 44.4 percent from the floor last season.
- Avereged 10.7 points per game in 2020-21.
- Is the daughter of former NFL defensive lineman Sam Adams.

GRETA THE GREAT: Greta Kampschroeder Quick Hitters
- McDonald's All-American
- Jordan Brand Classic All-American
- Finished her high school career with 1,735 career points - the third highest total in Naperville North High School history, despite having her senior season cut short due to COVID-19.
- Three-time All-Illinois honoree
- Set the Naperville North record with 853 career rebounds.

MAROTTE IT OUT: AJ Marotte Quick Hitters
- Exploded for 15 points in her collegiate debut, knocking down all three of her 3-point attempts
- Four time Texas Girls Coaches Association 6A All-State selection.
- Led Vista Ridge to the semifinals of the 6A Texas State Tournament her junior season.
- Averaged 17.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game her senior season
- Was part of the Adidas USA Select Team that competed in Spain in 2019.

IN THE PAC: 
- The Beavers are 93-28 in Pac-12 play since the start of the 2014-15 season, and 101-29 in their last 130 conference games.
- Beaver players have earned 13 All-Pac-12 First-Team nods over the last six seasons.
- Head coach Scott Rueck is one of five coaches in Pac-12 history to win the John R. Wooden Coach of the Year Award multiple times.

STILL AnDREa: Andrea Aquino Quick Hitters
- Has yet to see action for the Beavers.
- Joined Oregon State as the No. 7 rated recruit in the nation, the highest rated signee in program history.
- Averaged 17.1 points, 12.2 rebounds and 7.0 blocks per game during her 2016-17 high school season
- Didn't start playing basketball until the age of 15.

THE STAFF: Oregon State Assistant Coaches and Support Staff Quick Hitters
- Associate Head Coach Jonas Chatterton enters his eighth season with the Beavers after spending four seasons at Colorado.
- Assistant Coach Jenny Huth joins the Beavers this season. Huth previously served as head coach at Northern Colorado, and prior to that as an assistant coach at UCLA.
- Assistant Coach Deven Hunter enters her first season on the Oregon State staff. Hunter worked at San Diego prior to joining the Beavers, and was part of OSU's 2016 Final Four squad as a player.
- DOBO Olivia Murphy graduated from Oregon State, and is in her second year with the OSU staff
- Associate Athletic Trainer Jason Lieuw (code name Delight) is the longest serving member of the Oregon State staff, currently in his 13th year with the team
- Voice of the Beavers Ron Callan has called 423 Oregon State women's basketball games since joining the program in the 2007-08 season, holding a record of 267-156 during that span.
