Isanovic Named To Second-Straight Academic All-District First Team

Nov 18, 2021

GREENWOOD, Ind. – For the second season in a row, Iman Isanovic was named to the 2021 CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team after her continued high level of play on the court and success in the classroom.

The junior from Bosnia and Herzegovina has a cumulative GPA of 4.0 while pursuing her degree in political science. In her district (8), she is one of five Pac-12 honorees. There are 10 from the Pac-12 overall. As a first team recipient, Isanovic is eligible for Academic All-America, which will be announced in July.

In her junior season, Isanovic has been a leader on the team and in the conference. She leads the team in kills with 449, which is also good for second in the conference and 11th in the nation. She is 40 kills away from cracking the top-10 for total kills in a single season in ASU history. Her kill total is already the highest a single Sun Devil has had since 2017. Additionally, she is second in the Pac-12 and 13th in the country for total points (512). She has reached 20 or more kills eight times this fall and has notched 10 double-doubles.

Earlier this season, Isanovic was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week and the Sports Impact/AVCA Player of the Week.
