Utah Gymnastics To Compete On ESPN Networks Twice In 2022 Regular Season

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah gymnastics will compete on national television twice this upcoming regular season, the ESPN press room announced on Thursday afternoon. In total, Utah will be televised on the ESPN networks twice and on the Pac-12 Networks five times in 2022.

The national audience will get to see last year's third-place finishers Utah and runner-ups Oklahoma early on this season with ESPN2 set to broadcast this marquee matchup. Serving as Utah's home opener, Utah and Oklahoma will compete Friday, Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. MT at the Jon M. Huntsman Center.

Utah's second appearance on national television will come in a Pac-12 battle against UCLA in Los Angeles on Friday, Feb. 4. The Utes and Bruins will square off on ESPN at 8 p.m. MT, marking the third-straight year that the regular season matchup between the two squads has aired on an ESPN network.

The 2022 NCAA Championships will appear once again on ABC after last year's inaugural showing on the network. The NCAA Championship Final will be live on Saturday, April 16 at 11 a.m. MT. Semifinal I will take place on Thursday, April 14 at 11 a.m. MT with Semifinal II airing live at 4 p.m. MT. Both semifinals will air on ESPN2.

In 2020, Utah gymnastics averaged 15,273 fans to set the new school and NCAA record. Utah earned its 36th gymnastics attendance title and the 10th all-women's sport attendance title.
