Softball Alum Hannah Flippen Invited to 2022 USA Softball Selection Trials

OKLAHOMA CITY- Utah softball alum, Hannah Flippen, has been invited to participate at the 2022 USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Trials. The trials will be held at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex Jan. 1-6, in Vero Beach, Fla.

Flippen is one of 45 athletes that were invited to vie for a spot on the 18-player roster that will compete at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, Ala., and is also one of 11 invitees from the Tokyo Olympic Silver Medal team.

Utah's all-time leader in runs (197), hits (263) and batting average (.392), Flippen concluded a stellar career (2014-17) by becoming the first three-time All-American in program history, as well as the first four-time All-Pac-12 honoree. She was the first Ute named Pac-12 Softball Player of the Year in consecutive seasons and the first person in the history of the conference to win that award, along with Defensive Player of the Year honors, in the same campaign.

Internationally, Flippen has played for the USA Elite Team in 2016 and the USA National Team in 2017 and 2018.
