USC's Brooke Botkin Earns Third Pac-12 All-Conference Award
SAN FRANCISCO – USC women's volleyball outside hitter Brooke Botkin (Houston, Texas/Pearland HS) was named to the Pac-12 All-Conference Team for the third time in her career as announced by the conference on Monday, Nov. 29.
Botkin was also chosen to the Pac-12's all-conference team as a sophomore in 2018 and as a senior in 2020-21. She led the Women of Troy in kills (420 total kills, 3.59 kps) and points (464 total points, 3.97 pps) and put up eight double-doubles this fall for a total of 47 double-double performances. She was part of the Pac-12's preseason all-conference team and was an AVCA All-America choice in 2018. She completes her career at USC as the program's 11th all-time leader for kills (1,506) and is fifth for career points (1,683).
First-year Trojan setter Mia Tuaniga (Long Beach, Calif./Mater Dei HS) and freshman middle blocker Tyrah Ariail (Frisco, Texas/Lebanon Trail HS) were both named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team. Graduate middle blocker Candice Denny (Saratoga, Calif./Archbishop Mitty HS), graduate libero Shannon Scully (Huntington Beach, Calif./Mater Dei HS), and junior opposite hitter Emilia Weske (Potsdam, Germany/Leibniz Gymnasium) each received Pac-12 honorable mention status.
The Women of Troy (15-15, 10-10 Pac-12) finished in seventh place in the final Pac-12 standings. Under second-year head coach Brad Keller, the Trojans signed the nation's top-ranked incoming class of recruits according to PrepVolleyball.com.
