Mia Fishel Named Third-Team All-American

For the second consecutive season, UCLA forward Mia Fishel has earned All-America honors by the United Soccer Coaches, being selected to the third team.

The junior from San Diego, Calif. led UCLA in scoring in 2021 with 12 goals and 29 points. She also led the Pac-12 Conference with six game-winning goals and finished third in goals scored. Fishel recorded two multi-goal games in 2021, scoring both goals in a 2-0 win at San Diego, and netting two goals and assisting on another in a 3-1 win at Washington. She also recorded five assists on the year, two of which were on game-winning goals. Fishel, who was a three-time Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week honoree, earned first-team All-Pacific Region and All-Pac-12 honors for the second consecutive season.

Fishel concludes her UCLA career with 32 goals, 14 assists and 78 points in 59 games. She made her mark in UCLA's record books, ranking fifth all-time with 16 career game-winning goals and ninth with 32 goals. Her 11 points in the 2019 NCAA Tournament rank as the fifth-most in UCLA history, and her five tournament goals that season rank fourth on UCLA's single-season list.

This year's All-Americans will be formally acknowledged for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022 at the Kansas City Convention Center in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
