Top-10 ITA National Rankings For USC’s Stefan Dostanic; Trojans Earn Career Best Ranks

Dec 8, 2021

USC junior Stefan Dostanic leads a group of five Trojans who have earned career-best national rankings with this latest round of ITA rankings, released Dec. 8, 2021. Dostanic tops the list with top-10 rankings in both singles and doubles, ranked #6 in the nation in singles and #10 in doubles alongside senior Bradley Frye — marking the highest career doubles ranking for both Trojans. Dostanic also has a spot at #12 in doubles with teammate Samuel Rubell.

During the fall, Dostanic and Rubell teamed up to win the 2021 ITA Southwest Regional Championship for a helpful boost toward their #12 current ranking. Dostanic and Frye — now #10 in the nation — reached the semifinals of the prestigious ITA All-American

In addition to USC's lofty spots in the doubles realm, five Trojans stand tall in singles as well. Dostanic's power position at #6 in the land is followed by career-high rankings for freshman Peter Makk (#35), sophomore Lodewijk Weststrate (#40) and junior transfer Rubell (#94). Senior Frye also has earned a place in the singles rankings with a #70 position.

Brett Masi's Trojans are primed for the upcoming spring campaign, with two newcomers also set to join the USC roster in January with the additions of Ryan Colby and Wojciech Marek. The Trojans reached the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2021, having picked up the Pac-12 Tournament title along the way to a final 23-7 record last season.

The USC men kid off their spring campaign at the Sherwood Cup on Jan. 15. USC's first dual-match action takes place with a doubleheader at Marks Stadium on Jan. 21.
