McKinley III, Thibodeaux Named To Walter Camp All-America First Team

Dec 9, 2021

EUGENE, Ore. — Verone McKinley III and Kayvon Thibodeaux were both announced as Walter Camp All-America first-team selections on Thursday night by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
The Ducks are one of five teams with multiple first-team selections, joining Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, and Pittsburgh.
Oregon has multiple first-team Walter Camp All-Americans in a season for the first time since Marcus Mariota and Ifo Ekpre-Olomu in 2014, and multiple defensive players on the first team in the same season for the first time in program history. McKinley and Thibodeaux are the ninth and 10th Oregon players ever to earn first-team honors, and the fourth and fifth on the defensive side of the ball.
The Walter Camp All-America team is in its 132nd season, and is the first of five that make up consensus and unanimous all-America selections.
