Kyle Ostendorp Named AP First Team All-Pac-12
TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona punter Kyle Ostendorp was named Associated Press first-team All-Pac-12 on Friday. This comes a few days after Ostendorp was also named first-team All-Pac-12 by the coaches.
Ostendorp, who led the Pac-12 with an average punt of 49.2 yards set a school record for average yards per punt in one season which was previously held by Danny Baugher who averaged 47.5 yards per punt back in 2005. However, Baugher punted just 37 times in 2005 while Ostendorp had 58 punts this season.
Ostendorp had a Pac-12 best 28 yards of punts that traveled 50+ yards and downed 17 inside the 20. His longest punt of 71 yards back against San Diego State was the longest since Crier's 83-yard punt back in 2007.
