Bears Announce 2022 Baseball Schedule
BERKELEY – The California baseball program revealed its full 2022 schedule on Monday afternoon in conjunction with the Pac-12 Networks' announcement of its 2022 spring broadcast schedule.
Included in Cal's 2022 slate are 22 games against teams that reached an NCAA Regional in 2021, including College World Series participants Arizona and Stanford. Cal's full 2022 schedule can be viewed on CalBears.com.
The Golden Bears open their season with three games at the MLB4 Tournament on Feb. 18-20 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Cal will face Houston, TCU and San Diego State in consecutive days at Salt River Fields, the Spring Training home of the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks.
Cal hosts UIC in its home opener at Evans Diamond on Feb. 25 followed by a doubleheader against the Flames the next day and a home clash with Sacramento State on March 1. The Bears will travel east for their first true road games of the season later that week at Florida State on March 4-6 in Tallahassee.
Further non-conference action features a home series against New Mexico (May 14-16) and midweek contests against Santa Clara (March 8), San Jose State (March 15, May 3), Cal Poly (March 22, April 5), Saint Mary's (March 29, April 11), San Francisco (April 19) and Pacific (April 26).
Pac-12 play gets underway in Berkeley on March 11-13 when Cal welcomes Arizona to Evans Diamond. Other home conference series include matchups with Oregon State (March 25-27), Washington (April 8-10), UCLA (April 22-24) and Utah (May 19-21). The Bears travel to USC (March 18-20), Arizona State (April 1-3), Washington State (April 14-16), Oregon (April 29-May 1) and Stanford (May 6-8).
Following the conclusion of regular-season play, the inaugural Pac-12 Baseball Tournament will be played at Scottsdale Stadium (Scottsdale, Arizona) on May 25-29. The top eight teams in the Pac-12 standings at the conclusion of the regular season will earn berths in the tournament, and the tournament champion will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The double-elimination tournament will be spread over five days at the Spring Training home of the San Francisco Giants.
The Bears' regular-season conference series against Oregon State, Washington, Stanford and Utah will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.
Further information regarding tickets and Cal's home live stream will be released at a later date closer to the start of the 2022 season. All games times are subject to change.
