Track and Field and Cross Country Welcome 15 New Wildcats

Dec 14, 2021

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Track and Field and Cross Country is thrilled to welcome 15 new Track Cats to the program. Noah Jodon, Ian Isaac Sanchez Lopez, Iker David Sanchez Lopez, Logan Marek, Michael Ogbeiwi, James Onanubosi, Cooper Quigley, Esther Akinlosotu, Mia Chavez, Emma Gates, Tapenisa Havea, Erin Tack and Taylen Wise have all announced their official committment.

"I am very excited about the class we have signed to this point," said head coach Fred Harvey. "This is by far the largest early signing class during my time as the head coach. All credit goes to the staff and our ability to recruit as a family. All egos put aside, we all supported the program's needs first. We needed more depth in the distance area, so the coaches supported that effort and got the job done. We signed some of the top distance runners from Mexico and the U.S.. We also filled needs in all areas of the program by signing some of the top U20 jumpers, sprinters, throwers and hurdlers in the U.S. and the world."
