UCLA Voted Second in Pac-12 Preseason Poll

For the second consecutive year, UCLA has been selected by the Pac-12 gymnastics head coaches as the preseason No. 2 team in the conference.

The Bruins received two first-place votes, finishing behind the reigning conference champion Utah, who had six first-place votes and a total of 48 points. UCLA totaled 41 points. The two teams have battled for the Conference crown since 2014, with UCLA winning in 2016, 2018 and 2019, and Utah in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2021.

California finished third in the poll with 40 points, followed by Arizona State in fourth (30 points), Oregon State in fifth (26 points), Arizona in sixth (17 points), Stanford in seventh (14 points) and Washington in eighth (eight points).

The Bruins will preview the season on Friday, Dec. 17 at 7 pm with Meet the Bruins in Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom. The blue vs. gold exhibition is free and open to the public. It will also be aired on Pac-12 Network.

The 2022 season officially begins on Saturday, Jan. 8 at the Collegiate Challenge in Anaheim, which features six Pac-12 teams – UCLA, California, Oregon State and Arizona in the 6:30 pm session and Arizona State vs. Washington in the 1 pm session.
