Quotes
Co-Head Coach Jay Santos
On how he thought tonight went:

"The preseason scrimmage is always great because it shows some areas where we need work. We got some things we need to clean up but that's why you do these things. There were several great routines; I think Alex did a fantastic job, Jada had a strong meet and Hannah's bar routine was strong."

On what they need to work on:
"There's plenty of positive things to pick from, but there are some pieces we need to clean up. What they've been doing in practice in the gym is stronger than what we showed. So, we have to make sure we get back in the gym and fix those. Hopefully the nerves are gone from their first time out so they can go out (on January 5) and show what they've been doing."

Freshman Alex Theodorou
On being from Arizona and getting to compete at home in DFA:

"It was really cool and really fun because I have grown up going to meets here, and to be on the floor where I have grown up seeing was really awesome. It was also really great to be able to do it with my teammates. It was just so much fun."

On her performance today and the upcoming season:
"I was really happy with how we did, and on behalf of the team I think we're really excited for the season and how it's going to go. I am just really excited to experience everything with my team, and figure out everything and do some great things."
