Beavers Named Preseason All-American

Dylan Beavers earned his first preseason All-America nod from Collegiate Baseball on Tuesday.

BERKELEY – California baseball junior outfielder Dylan Beavers was named to Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's 2022 Preseason All-America Second Team on Tuesday morning.
Beavers was one of 16 outfielders named to the publication's three preseason All-America teams. It is the first preseason All-America recognition for the Golden Bear standout, who collected a slew of accolades at the end of the 2021 campaign, including spots on the NCBWA All-America third team, the ABCA All-West Region first team, Baseball America's Freshman All-America second team and the All-Pac-12 first team.
Beavers established himself as one of the nation's top young outfielders in his first full collegiate season in 2021, leading the Pac-12 in home runs (18) while slashing .303/.401/.630 in 55 games played and started. While anchoring Cal's lineup, Beavers also led the team in runs (44), doubles (11), triples (2), RBI (49), total bases (133) and walks (32) while swiping 10 bases.
The Paso Robles, California product spent the summer playing for USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team and the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod League.
