Richardson Named Pac-12 Player of the Week

Jan 3, 2022

EUGENE, Ore. – After scoring a career-high 26 points vs. Utah, senior guard Will Richardson has been named Pac-12 Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
The preseason all-conference first team selection shot 75 percent from the field versus the Utes, netting 9-of-12 field goals and 5-of-6 three-pointers. Richardson scored 23 of his 26 points in the second half, helping the Ducks turn a six-point halftime deficit into a 13-point victory. It was his fifth career 20-point game and second of the season. The Ducks improved to 6-0 in 2021-22 when Richardson scores 17 or more points.
It is the first weekly honor of Richardson's career, and the first by a Ducks player since Chris Duarte set the UO school record with his fourth player of the week selection on Mar. 8, 2021.
