More Preseason Recognition For Beavers
BERKELEY – California baseball junior outfielder Dylan Beavers collected his second preseason All-America nod on Wednesday, as he was named to Perfect Game's 2022 Preseason All-America Second Team.
Beavers was one of nine outfielders named to the organization's three preseason All-America teams. The slugger previously earned a spot on Collegiate Baseball's preseason All-America second team in late December.
Beavers established himself as one of the nation's top young outfielders in his first full collegiate season in 2021, leading the Pac-12 in home runs (18) while slashing .303/.401/.630 in 55 games played and started. While anchoring Cal's lineup, Beavers also led the team in runs (44), doubles (11), triples (2), RBI (49), total bases (133) and walks (32) while swiping 10 bases. He was well-recognized for his production, earning spots on the NCBWA All-America third team, the ABCA All-West Region first team, Baseball America's Freshman All-America second team and the All-Pac-12 first team.
The Paso Robles, California product spent the summer playing for USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team and the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod League.
