Cameron Goode Accepts NFLPA Collegiate Bowl Invite

Cameron Goode has accepted an invite to play in the 2022 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

PASADENA, CA – The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl announced Thursday that former Cal outside linebacker Cameron Goode has accepted an invitation to participate in the 2022 edition of the game to be televised live from The Rose Bowl by the NFL Network at a time yet to be announced on Saturday, Jan. 29. Goode joins former Cal teammate quarterback Chase Garbers in the contest that began in 2012 and was played for nine consecutive years before the 2021 experience was virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Goode had previously accepted an invitation to play in the Hula Bowl but will no longer participate in that event.

— Spent six seasons at Cal from 2016-21, starting and playing in 37 career games from 2017-21 after redshirting as a 2016 true freshman
— Finished his collegiate career with 171 tackles, 36.5 tackles for loss (-183 yards), 21.5 sacks (-132 yards), two interceptions that he returned for 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns, 10 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and 13 quarterback hurries
— Eighth on Cal's career sack list and 0.5 tackles for loss shy of Cal's all-time top 10
— Started and played in 11 of 12 contests as a 2021 senior when he was a second-team All-Pac-12 selection of the Associated Press and Jon Wilner's College Football Hotline while earning honorable mention recognition from the Pac-12's coaches
— Led the Pac-12 in sacks per game (0.68) as a 2021 senior while he was second in total sacks (7.5), pacing Cal in both sack categories as with 9.0 tackles for loss (-63 yards), -59 sack yards and five quarterback hurries, while totaling 46 tackles, a career-high four pass breakups and one fumble recovery
