Bruins in the NFL: Week 18

Fifteen former UCLA football standouts were in action during the 18th and final week of the 2021 NFL regular season. Demetric Felton scored the second touchdown of his rookie season as Cleveland beat Cincinnati, while Anthony Barr piled up 11 tackles and two sacks in Minnesota's win versus Chicago. Offensive linemen Andre James and Kolton Miller, meanwhile, helped Las Vegas to a thrilling victory versus the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday night to secure a playoff spot.

Wild Card Weekend starts Saturday. Ten Bruins are currently listed on active rosters of playoff teams: TE Devin Asiasi (New England), ILB Krys Barnes (Green Bay), C Jake Brendel (San Francisco), ILB Jayon Brown (Tennessee), NT Kenny Clark (Green Bay), C Andre James (Las Vegas), TE Marcedes Lewis (Green Bay), OT Kolton Miller (Las Vegas), DT Osa Odighizuwa (Dallas) and WR Matthew Slater (New England).

Listed on practice squads of playoff-bound teams are the following Bruins: Eli Ankou (Buffalo), Matt Dickerson (Arizona), JJ Molson (Green Bay) and Alex Redmond (New England).

  • Krys Barnes, ILB, Green Bay Packers – Starter Barnes made seven total tackles, including one for a loss of three yards, as Green Bay completed the regular season champions of the NFC North for the third year in a row.

  • Anthony Barr, OLB, Minnesota Vikings – Starter Barr piled up 11 total tackles, including two sacks for a combined loss of 15 yards, as Minnesota closed its regular season with a win. He turned in 65 total tackles 2.5 sacks and three interceptions across 11 games on the year.
  • Kenny Clark, NT, Green Bay Packers – Starter Clark contributed one tackle and a quarterback hurry as Green Bay cruised to another division title.

  • Ka'imi Fairbairn, K, Houston Texans – Fairbairn did not miss a kick attempt, drilling a 31-yard field goal and each of his two extra points. Two of his five kickoffs went for touchbacks. Fairbairn made 15 of 19 field goals this season, including a career-long 61-yarder in Week 14.
  • Demetric Felton, RB, Cleveland Browns – Felton stepped into the starting lineup and finished with two catches for 18 yards, including a 10-yard screen pass that resulted in a touchdown. The rookie finished the year with two scores through the air.
  • Myles Jack, OLB, Jacksonville Jaguars – Starter Jack made five total tackles as Jacksonville won its finale against Indianapolis. He finished the campaign with 97 stops.
  • Fabian Moreau, CB, Atlanta Falcons – Moreau posted five total tackles in a starting role. One went for a loss of yardage. He turned in 59 stops and 11 passes defensed on the season.
  • Osa Odighizuwa, DT, Dallas Cowboys – Rookie Odighizuwa logged three total tackles as Dallas beat Philadelphia by a 51-26 score on the road. The Cowboys won their first NFC East title since 2018, posting a 12-5 record.

  • Matthew Slater, WR, New England Patriots – Slater posted an assisted tackle on a fourth-quarter kickoff return. New England earned a spot in the playoffs for the 12th time in Slater's 14-year career.

  • C Jake Brendel (San Francisco 49ers), C Andre James (Las Vegas Raiders), TE Marcedes Lewis (Green Bay Packers), OT Conor McDermott (New York Jets), OT Kolton Miller (Las Vegas Raiders) and C Scott Quessenberry (Los Angeles Chargers) also played, but did not record any statistics.
