GAME INFORMATION - vs STANFORD
The Cougs return home to host the Bay Area schools beginning with Stanford Thursday afternon at Beasley. Stanford has been on pause for the past week and will be scheduled to play three games during the week beginning Tuesday at USC before heading to the Pacific Northwest for the weekend. Stanford comes in redhot after upsetting #5 USC Tuesday night, handing the Trojans their first loss of the year. The Cougs won the last matchup against the Cardinal in Pullman last season, outlasting Stanford in triple overtime thanks to the epic performance of Noah Williams. The then sophomore came up with a career high 40 points (the 9th 40 point performance in program history). It was part of Williams record setting 72 point weekend against Cal and Stanford, the most points scored in a single weekend in program history.

NEXT UP
The Cougs remain home to take on a resurgent Cal team Saturday afternoon at Beasley Coliseum. The Bears are coming off a tough weekend against the top ranked LA schools, dropping both games while giving both the Bruins and the Trojans a scare. On the year the Bears are 9-7 and 2-3 in Pac-12 play with wins over Oregon State and Arizona State. Last season the Cougs swept the Bears including a dominant 82-51 win at home. The 31-point win was the largest margin of victory in a Pac game since 1993. In the win Noah Williams scored a then career high 32 points including 24 in the first half while adding 9 rebounds and 7 assists.

LAST TIME OUT - at UTAH
WSU 77 - UTAH 61 | Jan. 8, 2022 | SALT LAKE CITY
For the first time since 1946 the Cougs took home a road win at Salt Lake City, defeating the Utes by 16 points to snap a 13-game skid against Utah. Five Cougs reached double-figures in scoring lead by Tyrell Roberts who scored a game-high 17 points including hitting a career best 5 three pointers. Defensively the Cougs allowed just 41 points from the floor keeping the Utes off the offensive glass allowing just six second-chance points.
