> The Cougs return to Beasley Coliseum for the first time since Dec. 18 to take on a Stanford team that missed nearly a month of action before returning to the court Tuesday vs USC. Last season at Beasley the two teams played an epic triple-OT contest with Noah Williams scoring 40 points to lead the Cougs to victory.
> WSU got back on track with a win at Utah Saturday. The win was the first for the Cougs in Salt Lake City since 1946 while the 77 points were the most scored on the road against Utah all-time.
> Tyrell Roberts has been the Cougs best player over the last few weeks leading the team in scoring  in three-straight including netting 42 combined on the road at Colorado and Utah. He has made 11 three-pointers in the last three games including a career high 5 at Utah.
> The Cougs defense continues to be among the elite ranking 28th in defensive rating at 94.0 per 100. WSU has allowed opponents to shoot and effective FG% of just 45.2% (28th in the country).
> WSU's NET jumped up to 50 nearing in on the all-time high of 37 earlier in December.

The Cougs return home to host the Bay Area schools beginning with Stanford Thursday afternon at Beasley. Stanford has been on pause for the past week and will be scheduled to play three games during the week beginning Tuesday at USC before heading to the Pacific Northwest for the weekend. Stanford comes in redhot after upsetting #5 USC Tuesday night, handing the Trojans their first loss of the year. The Cougs won the last matchup against the Cardinal in Pullman last season, outlasting Stanford in triple overtime thanks to the epic performance of Noah Williams. The then sophomore came up with a career high 40 points (the 9th 40 point performance in program history). It was part of Williams record setting 72 point weekend against Cal and Stanford, the most points scored in a single weekend in program history.

The Cougs remain home to take on a resurgent Cal team Saturday afternoon at Beasley Coliseum. The Bears are coming off a tough weekend against the top ranked LA schools, dropping both games while giving both the Bruins and the Trojans a scare. On the year the Bears are 9-7 and 2-3 in Pac-12 play with wins over Oregon State and Arizona State. Last season the Cougs swept the Bears including a dominant 82-51 win at home. The 31-point win was the largest margin of victory in a Pac game since 1993. In the win Noah Williams scored a then career high 32 points including 24 in the first half while adding 9 rebounds and 7 assists.
