Jan 12, 2022

USC junior forward Isaiah Mobley was named to the 30-man midseason watch list for the 2021-22 Lute Olson National Player Of The Year Award, it was announced today (Jan. 12).  The award is presented annually to the top player in Division I college basketball and is named in honor of Hall of Fame coach Lute Olson.

Mobley has helped lead the 13-1 Trojans to a No. 5 ranking by averaging a near double-double with 15.4 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game.  Both of those numbers lead the Trojans and his rebound average is tops among Pac-12 players.  Mobley also leads USC with 25 three-point baskets made and is second on the team in steals with 12 and third among Trojans with 40 assists.

Mobley has had five double-doubles this season and has averaged 17.8 points and 9.8 rebounds the last nine games.

Earlier this month Mobley was also named to the John R. Wooden Award midseason watch list.
