LOS ANGELES – Johnny Juzang scored a team-leading 24 points to lead the No. 3-ranked UCLA men's basketball team past Oregon State, 81-65, in a Pac-12 contest on Saturday night.
Playing their second home contest in three days, the Bruins (11-2, 3-1 Pac-12) led throughout the second half, after having built a 43-35 advantage by halftime. UCLA shot nearly 70 percent from the field in the first half.
Oregon State (3-13, 1-5 Pac-12) received a game-high 12 points from Jarod Lucas and Dashawn Davis.

Juzang was one of four UCLA players to score in double figures. Jules Bernard finished with 16 points, while Tyger Campbell had 13 points and Jaylen Clark scored a career-high 11 points.
Clark, who earned his first career start, made each of his first five shots in the opening half. He had all 11 points before halftime and finished the game with four rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Just before halftime, the Bruins used a 6-0 scoring run to secure a 40-30 lead at the 2:53 mark. Campbell scored four consecutive points during that stretch to help UCLA notch its first double-digit lead of the game.
Juzang was most effective for the Bruins in the second half. The 6-foot-7 guard from Tarzana, Calif., scored 19 of his team-leading 24 points after halftime. In all, Juzang made 7 of 11 shot attempts and was 9-for-11 at the free throw stripe. He scored in double figures on Saturday for the 12th time in 13 games.

Oregon State never reduced UCLA's margin to any fewer than six points in the second half. The visiting Beavers pulled to within 43-37 with 19:21 to play in the contest before UCLA used a 10-2 scoring run over the next three minutes to take a 53-39 lead. Juzang nailed a 3-point basket at the end of that 10-2 scoring run to help the Bruins' pad their lead.

Leading 53-44 with 13:40 remaining, Myles Johnson scored on a layup to give the Bruins' an 11-point advantage. UCLA's cushion never fell to fewer than 10 points the rest of the way.
UCLA earned its fifth consecutive win over Oregon State in Pauley Pavilion. Last season, the Bruins secured a 57-52 win at home versus the Beavers.
The Bruins will return to action at Utah on Thursday, Jan. 20. Game time in Salt Lake City is scheduled for 8 p.m. PT (9 p.m. MT). UCLA's matchup at Utah will be televised on FS1.
