Hockey Cancels Lindenwood Series Jan. 21-22

Jan 16, 2022

TEMPE, Ariz. --The Arizona State men's ice hockey team announced on Sunday morning that the home exhibition series against Lindenwood on Jan. 21-22 has been canceled. ASU returns to Oceanside Ice Arena on Feb. 4-5 against Alaska Fairbanks.

"We're disappointed that we're playing two less games at Oceanside than planned, but after a few discussions with Rick Zombo (Lindenwood head coach) and with COVID-19 issues that are going on in their program and coming home from a long 12-day road trip, we thought it was best to not play exhibition games at this point. We'll take this time to rest up before playing the No. 1 team in country," said head coach Greg Powers.

"That said, we have one game to give and will be actively looking to add a game if it makes sense to do so," Powers continued. "We want our guys on the ice."

The next scheduled series for ASU is at No. 1 Minnesota State on Jan. 28-29.
