USC’s Nike Agunbiade, Sean Wang Post Wins At Bruin Diving Invitational

Junior Nike Agunbiade (platform) and freshman Sean Wang (1-meter) each posted wins to lead the USC diving squad during their final day at the Bruin Invitational in Westwood on Sunday (Jan. 16). 
 
After capturing the men's 3-meter competition on Friday, Wang returned to complete the springboard event sweep with the win on 1-meter. He finished the day with 745.20, 353.60 coming from prelims. 
 
Joining Wang in the finals was All-American George Korovin who finished the day third in the men's 1-meter competition, accumulating 670.00, 297.65 coming from prelims. 
 
Junior Agunbade secured the win on women's platform with a total of 610.50. The 2021 Pac-12 3-meter champion entered the finals with the top score, accumulating 307.30 points during prelims. 
 
Sophomore Maddie Huitt (525.40) and freshman Grace Lee (504.75) also finished in the top-ten, coming in fourth and fifth, respectively.
 
Six USC divers have already posted NCAA qualifying scores this season, with Wang (3-meter, 1-meter), Korovin (platform, 3-meter), Agunbiade (1-meter, 3-meter, platform), Lee (platform), Savannah Stocker (3-meter) and Huitt (3-meter, platform) leading the Trojan diving squad. In a little over a month, they will travel to Federal Way, Washington to compete in the Pac-12 championships.
