Max Handron Added To ’22 Signing Class
BERKELEY – California baseball added an eighth member to its 2022 signing class as Santa Rosa Junior College infielder Max Handron signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Bears on Wednesday.
Handron joins a signing class of eight California natives that will arrive in Bear Territory in the fall of 2022. The Sonoma, California native will play a second season at Santa Rosa Junior College in the spring of 2022 alongside fellow '22 Cal signee Tyler Stasiowski.
After a successful prep career at Sonoma Valley High School where he was a three-time all-league selection while batting .385, Handron started his collegiate career at St. Bonaventure. As a freshman in the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season, Handron played in three games and went 1-for-2 at the plate while being named to the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
In 13 games played at SRJC in 2021, Handron slashed .315/.397/.370 with six RBI, 10 runs scored and a pair of extra-base hits.
