Bears To Open Season On MLB Network

The Golden Bears are one of four teams that will open the 2022 college baseball season at the MLB4 Tournament in Scottsdale, Ariz.

BERKELEY – California baseball's season opener against Houston at the "MLB4" collegiate baseball tournament on Friday, Feb. 18 will be televised nationally on MLB Network and streamed via MLB.com, Major League Baseball announced Thursday.
 
First pitch is set for 12 p.m. (noon) PT at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick in Scottsdale, Arizona, the shared award-winning Spring Training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. The four-team, three-day MLB-hosted event will take place on Feb. 18-20.
 
The Golden Bears will also face TCU at noon PT on Saturday, Feb. 19 and San Diego State at 1 p.m. PT on Sunday, Feb. 20. Broadcast details for the second and third games at the "MLB4" tournament will be provided at a later date. All dates, times and matchups are subject to change.
