CU Concludes Air Force Invitational With A Pair of Top-10 Marks

USAFA, Colo.  – Colorado track and field had a pair of women put marks in the CU top-10 list here Saturday at the final day of the Air Force Invitational.
 
Avery McMullen, who won the women's long jump yesterday, took the top spot in the 60-meter hurdle finals in 8.42 seconds. The mark is nearly a tenth of a second off her previous best and moves her into a three-way tie for fifth in CU history.
 
McMullen also had a good performance in the women's high jump, finishing third with a jump of 1.73 meters (5-8). She was joined by Kylee Harr and Allie Routledge, both of which cleared 1.65 meters (5-5) and placed tied for sixth and eighth, respectfully, based on previous misses.
 
The other mark in the CU top-10 list came in the women's shot put where Lauren Whyrick threw 14.07 meters (46-2) to move to ninth in CU history. The toss was good for sixth in the meet.
 
For the men, Nick Bianco placed fifth in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.90 meters (16-0.75). He finished fifth in the event.
 
Colorado's sprinters took the Saturday off to prepare for the upcoming home meet next Friday and Saturday.
