Devils Win 9, Enter 5 All-Time Marks at New Mexico MLK Jr. Invite

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - Sun Devil Track and Field had a heck of a season opening Saturday, recording nine event victories and celebrating five entries into the all-time top-10 lists. Justin Robinson made his highly anticipated collegiate debut and won the 200m 20.81, good for 2nd all-time. He went on to help the 4x4 squad finish first in 3:15.16. Alonna Johnson turned heads in the 600m where she ran a 1:33.45 PR, good for 3rd all-time. She also helped the women's 4x4 win in 3:52.51. Jamar Marshall Jr.s 7.72 in the 60H was good for the sixth-fastest time so far in the NCAA, and it would've been the fourth-best mark in ASU history if he didn't already hold the record (7.59).
 
ASU celebrated Jalen Drayden's 20.98 in the 200m, which puts him fifth all-time, along with first-year jumper Jeremy Cody going 2.15m/7-00.50 in the high jump to tie for sixth all-time. Event victories on the day came from Dylan James (TJ), Michael Chadwick (PV), Kristen Masucci (PV), Johnson (600m), Marshall Jr. (60H), Robinson (200m), Adriana Tatum (200m), and both 4x4 pairings.
 
ASU splits the squad next weekend with athletes going to the two-day Washington Invitational in Seattle and some returning to ABQ for the UNM Team Open on the 29th.
