USC Women's Golf Third In Desert Match Play

The USC women's golf team fell in its first outing of the 2022 spring semester, taking third in the Desert Match Play in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Saturday at the Kierland G.C.

In a three-team battle with Baylor and Texas A&M, the three squads played a trio of nine-hole matches, scoring against each other as well as getting points for margin of win.

The Aggies finished first with 72.5, the Bears had 63.5 while the Trojans totaled 30.

Senior Katherine Muzi and freshman Xin (Cindy) Kou each posted a trio of match play wins to lead USC today while freshman Amari Avery, in her Trojan debut, posted two wins, as did sophomores Michaela Morard and Brianna Navarrosa.

USC returns to action on Feb. 14-15 at the Lamkin Invitational in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.
