History has been kind to the Wildcats at Hi Corbett Field, largely due to the home field advantage created by Arizona fans. Last season, the Cats ranked No. 12 in the nation and No. 1 on the west coast in attendance. Since moving to the historic ballpark for the 2012 season, Arizona Baseball has posted a record of 227-92 (.712) at Hi Corbett Field.
The Wildcats are led on the field by All-American sophomore catcher Daniel Susac, who hit .335 with 48 runs, 37 extra-base hits, and 65 RBI last season en route to earning Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors. Susac leads a core of returning contributors from last season's College World Series team that includes shortstop Nik McClaughry, third baseman Tony Bullard, outfielders Mac Bingham, and Tanner O'Tremba, right-handed pitchers Chandler Murphy and TJ Nichols, left-handed pitcher Garrett Irvin, and many more.
Arizona has landed in three preseason Top 25 rankings, including a No. 15 ranking from D1Baseball.com and a No. 13 ranking from Baseball America.
