Kneepkens Secures Pac-12 Freshman of the Week Honors

SAN FRANCISCO – Gianna Kneepkens secures her third Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors Monday afternoon. This is the fifth time Utah has taken home the freshman of the week honors this season.
 
The Duluth, Minn., native led the Utes in scoring in both contests this weekend. She opened the week with a 15 points performance on 4-of-8 shooting against No. 10 Arizona. She went 2-of-4 on threes in the game and played a career-high 33 minutes. She finished Friday night's game with six rebounds. 
 
In the Utes win against Arizona State on Sunday, Kneepkens scored 15 of her 20 points in the first half. She tied her career-high with four made three-pointers. In the victory, she shot 80 percent (4-of-5) on threes while shooting 50 percent from the floor in 28 minutes. She collected four rebounds against the Sun Devils. 
 
Over the two games, Kneepkens averaged 17.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game. She shot 50.0 percent (11-of-22) from the floor and 66.7 percent (6-of-9) on three-pointers.
